Sunday, October 5, 2008 poliwoggs.

Ever since I first saw these quirky little paper mache figures called Poliwoggs, I knew they had to be a part of my Halloween mantle. They gaze into my living room only one month out of the year and spend the rest of their lives wrapped in old tissue high up on a shelf in the Halloween box. But for the short time they have their freedom, they bring a smile to my face each time I pass them by.

these are so cute! i love that you are organized enough to have a special place for them to live when they aren't out for the holidays.
i love your blog.. love that it encompases so many things but i'm especially fond of the recipes!
one of my favorite books is 'heartburn' by nora ephron. one reason it is a favorite is that she includes recipes amongst the laughter and tears..
keep up the good work..
i'll be back often!
